Rain, rain GO AWAY!!!!

We have just evidently experienced what was the 100 year flood. The good news is that although the water reached the height of just below our

bottom steps, it never got inside the house. We're thinking about calling the city and asking them to revise our status of "flood plain residents" as it never flooded and we're paying the helluva lot of money for flood insurance.....anywho, here are some before and after pics...

This is what the back garden looked like without a lake!

And HERE is what it looked like last week! You can see that Garrett being a Boy, couldn't resist testing the waters.......

Some miscellaneous pictures.......

My bottle tree is at least water resistant!

The yellow butterfly bush was NOT! But I'm hoping for it's recovery....

And, thank goodness we spent the time this spring to build raised beds for the vegetable garden..............

Emmy's 13th Birthday, better late than never.......

Wow, since joining Facebook, I've really gotten behind on my blogging. For now, I'll just post pictures of each "event" and add text later. Enjoy!
