Thanks Easter Bunny!

Here we are celebrating our first Easter with all five cousins together for the first time! Although Bill and my Dad weren't able to be with us, it was a wonderful day. We began at Ben and Kristin's house for a nice breakfast which we concluded by dyeing Easter Eggs.

Then we met at Mom's for an egg hunt which was a great success!

We finished the evening at our house with a traditional Easter dinner of ham, twice baked potatoes and such. All in all it was a great day!

CC makes it to her fabulous 14th birthday!!!!!!!!

With Bill in Korea for Caroline's birthday my sister in law offered to help me "man the fronts" as we hosted a slumber party for 8 fourteen year old young ladies. And it was wild...........it took two cars to get everyone to the movies; they chose Dr. Suess' Horton Hears a Who and Kristin and I chose some gangster movie I can't remember the title of now.......I guess I'm getting older too! (I AM marking my 40th this year but that's another story for another day....) Anyhoo, a night of wildness was foisted upon us consisting of truth or dare, mysterious phone call that no one would admit were made to BOYS and always, always lots of laughter and music. Of course, the next day we all felt like zombies from lack of sleep but it was worth it to make her b-day special.

More Easter......

Atlanta's 2008 Flower Show

Last week, my Mom, my sister-in-law Kristin and I went to Atlanta's annual flower show. It's one of the things I used to anticipate every year so I was really excited to be able to go once more. These landscape designers and garden centers have FOUR days to install their gardens in a n indoor space. Any brick work, water features etcetera have to be made from scratch. These gardens are really quite amazing accomplishments!

Here we are at the entrance to the flower show. It's really hard to see, but behind us is a bedroom comprised almost entirely of FLOWERS! How cool is that?

This garden entrance includes one of my new favorites, Begonia Escargot, they are so pretty, I MUST have some......




This garden had a man made creek with an elevated aquarium in the center of it. The photo really doesn't do it justice, but it comes close.

This was Pike's Family Nurseries award winning design. I think it was called "Tospy Turvy". Note the Wicked Witch of the Wests feet.....

Obviously, Kristin REALLY liked this garden; note her expression!

A Very Merry Christmas to all.......

What a wonderful Christmas we had!!! After being woken at 4:30a.m., presents were opened and the kids made out like bandits; getting LOTS of new toys and clothes and electronic stuff, a fluffy lamp, chairs and much more. Whew, it makes me tired to list even just some of it! We had a nice quiet day after presents and breakfast and ended the day at Ben and Kritin's house for a WONDERFUL prime rib dinner and MORE presents!

Caroline made an EXCELLENT Santa this year......

Christmas giggles!

Happy 12th Emmy-Lou!!!!

We marked the wonderful occasion of Emmy's B-day with a slumber party as well as a family dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Feast. The girls had a great time at the party without being too rambunctious and we all enjoyed the movie, "Enchanted". All in all, a successful birthday!
